There are three entrances into our little town of Gore Bay. I live just a short distance from one of those entrances, the main entrance, the one that is a mess at the moment.
They are re-doing the sewer and water lines and the highway as well. All new paving, the works. The potholes were enormous this spring and it was time everything was repaired and made nice again. But ... living close to this construction zone for the summer hasn't been much fun.
It's dusty and noisy. They are blasting and every once in a while I hear the horns and then the blast. The Shadow puppy isn't impressed! The tiniest bit of thunder scares him and fireworks are totally terrifying. He's not quite sure what to make of the blasts. He keeps looking up! At least they don't last long.
It's also meant a small detour just to get to our house and a couple of times we were totally blocked. I moved the pylons - illegally, I'm sure - just to be able to get home! At least we're not right on this main road. I'm sure it's worse for the people living with this at their doorstep.
We keep telling ourselves that it will be worth it once it's done. A nice, smooth, and clean entrance into Gore Bay. Eventually.

Gosh, it'll be nice when it's done, but I've been through that before. Not fun when you are going through it! Hope it gets done soon!
