We're almost ready. Lights up outside, tree up inside, gift shopping done.
There are a few more details yet to attend to. Like wrapping all those presents so it's not so bare beneath the tree!
And, of course, the knitting.
Two pairs of socks need to be finished for Christmas.
These are knit with Wellington Fibres - 50% Mohair, 50%Wool. Gorgeous stuff. Knit toe-up so I can use every last bit of this precious yarn.
The second pair aren't so far along. They are with Lana Grossa Meilenweit Cotton Spirit and I'm using the Conwy pattern from Knitting on the Road by Nancy Bush. I'm loving this pattern but all those twisted stitches are making this an even slower knit.
School is moving along. Some weeks are endless and others slide along so quickly. I'm still not adjusted to my varied timetable and am constantly checking to see that I'm in the right place at the right time with the right class!
The wonder-designer Susan B. Anderson struck again with a lovely, new pattern for worsted weight mittens. One of the samples used my Suffolk yarn. Lots of e-mails, lots of new sales, lots of time! I need more time for dyeing! Someday.

Lovely tree. Soon you will be enjoying the holidays

I saw the mitts when browsing her blog and spotted the watermelon striped yarn. OMG! Gotta be Fresh Isles's yarn! Nice to see it being appreciated out in the world of famous designers.

Your tree is so pretty! We just bought ours today.
I love that sock book. It's in my collection. Your projects are lovely. I particularly like the yarn in the last one.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
