I certainly didn't mean to neglect The Blog for this long, but life has a way of putting too much on my plate.
Mom got moved in, school continued and ended in it's busy usual way, report cards got done, and then holidays began. Sort of.
For the last year and half or so, just as my father got really sick, we've been preparing for an auction sale. We knew one was coming. We knew something was going to have to be done with so much stuff. And then when mom moved in with us, her house had to be cleaned out. So, we had a grand and glorious auction sale last week. It was a lot of work, but we had a lot of help and it's over. Finally. It's an amazing relief and I can't believe how much freer I feel. An enormous weight is lifted.
I'm hoping that I can now enjoy my summer ahead and get back to dyeing, knitting, and relaxing.
There's been knitting going on all the while. I'll start with the socks. Three pairs of Christmas gift socks.
The mismatching top pair are with Lana Grossa Meilenweit Cotton Spirit, my Single Ply Socks pattern with a tiny cable added down the sides. The second pair are with Rauma-ragg and my Classic Work Socks pattern. The third pair are the same pattern but with Patons Classic yarn. I had a bit leftover to make a matching headband.
More finished projects to follow.
