I'm sure we'll have summer eventually. We've had enough of rain and cool temperatures and I'm ready for some real summer days. The weekend was wonderful and I'm hoping it continues.
My first two weeks of summer have been much too busy. Too much illness. We've had a number of trips to Sudbury with my mother for a rare form of cancer in the salivary gland. We have more trips ahead for a few radiation treatments. She's fine so far, no pain, but it is a lot of travel and making it just one more thing to deal with as she's trying to settle into her new home. My brother had a retinal detachment, a successful surgery, and is now hopefully on the mend. And, my aunt is home recovering from colon surgery after a two week stay in hospital. Enough already!
I'm trying to squeeze in some knitting while waiting in hospitals and doctors' offices. Some special knitting. My first knitting with Socks That Rock yarn. This was a Christmas present yarn from last year and I'm finally getting to try it.
I'm at the finishing stages of my Corinne sweater and will hopefully have some completed sweater photos soon. The finishing part, the stitching together of seams, buttons, and collar are my least favourite parts of a project. Eventually.
