I'm trying not to look at the calendar. It's the end of July. Where is the summer going? It's just flying by. I don't want it to be almost August. But it is. Sob, sob.
We've had the best summer weather this month and I've enjoyed it immensely. I just want it to continue - forever!
I've been busy - swimming, reading, playing around on the web, dealing with/caring for my mom, dyeing, and even a bit of knitting.
It's been a while since I've had the motivation or time to design anything of my own. I'm starting small and simple again. A scarf.
It's knit with our own Double Down yarn in a super bright, super hot pink. Very pink. I've just started the middle section of the pattern so there's a way to go yet. The stitches came from an old Harmony Guide and were called raindrops and roses. However, there are ton of Raindrops on Roses patterns on Ravelry. I may have to come up with a new name!
I'm also working on Christmas presents. A basic, plain pair of fingerless gloves just need all the ends darned in. My least favourite part of a project is dealing with all the ends.
The baby robins left the nest this past weekend. They grew so quickly. I hope they stay safe. It was so fun to observe their behaviours. One was totally fearless and very greedy. He/She certainly got his share of the food!
It's another beautiful July day. There's still a lot of summer left for me to enjoy.
